Read before you pass judgement

I know that this sounds odd, But I think that the best thing that happeded to me last week happened thursday when kevin's cousin steven died. i know that sounds horrible, but please let me explain. Stevie was an awsome guy. He was kind of quiet and possibly a person that you would walk away from if you saw him in the store because he looked kind of scary, but honestly, he had to be the nicest guy I have ever met. He died early thursday morning from a heart attack, he was only 22.
The reason I say that this was the best thing that happened to me is not for the fact that I did not like the guy, but because of the fact that his death has shown me how short life truely is. It is a different kind of sadness when someone young dies, versus when someone old dies. this one a shocker to say the least. Oddly enough, neither Kevin or I are really sad about it. Yes, we shed some tears when we heard, especiall for the fact that stevie has been working for kevin for the past month, but all in all, we are ok with it. All I know is that now I reralize how grateful I am to have my family. I have a wonderful husband and 5 beautiful children that I love and that love me back. Stevie did not have this, no wife, no kids. I am so grateful at the fact that my Heavenly Father has given me the oppertunity to be a wife and mother. I think that we sometimes take this great gift for granted.
Stevies death has also shown me how scared I am all the time. I am scared to call this person, or I am scared to go to church, or I am scared to speak my mind, or wear that shirt. Life is too short to live your life in fear, or worry about a thousand different things each day. What happened to sitting down with your kids at night and singing silly songs or reading a book instead of just watching tv or cleaning up the house. I think that Stevies death has scared me, but in a good way. I don't want to miss out on my life, i want to live it up, just like stevie did.
So to stevie, I say thank you. Thanks for all the laughes, the dirty jokes, the smiles, the waves, and thanks for helping me to realize that we are only here until we are called home, so we better make the best of it.

powered sugar anyone??

So, my Maddison is an amazing child. You can set her down for one minute and she has the ability to have a room completely tore apart. For example, I set her down this morning and went into the bathroom to brush my teeth. In that amount of time she had got her cute little hands on a bag or powered sugar, tore it apart and had dad's computer room completely white, including all the chairs, floor and herself mind you. All I could see when I came out of the bathroom was a white haze. when I found her, all i could see was two blue eyes shining up at me. now I ask you, haw can you get mad at that. i asked her if she did this mess, and she just said no and continued licking the blue chair.

Hot Wheels

Ok, so we all went to David, Jared, and Jordan's first football game last night which I have to say was a blast, but when we were walking through the parking lot Travis went running to this silver mustang and starts touching it and rubbing his nose on the windows and stuff, I told him to get back here by me and he said, "but mom, it's a hot wheels car." It really did look like one, it was silver and had dark grey puffy flames on it. Nice. Anyways, I am doing my finals for my class this week, but I really don't feel like doing anything on it today. I am a procrastinator, but this class was pretty easy for me because I have taken one that was very similar, so I am not too worried about my final. I got put on the deans list at my school, which I am pretty sure is a good thing, I don't know, maybe it is a bad thing.:) anyways, I am really excited because my favorite holiday is coming up, HALLOWEEN!! I just love it. I think it is because I am a naturally freaky person, so it just meshes well with my personality.
Love ya all.
Jerrilynn

OH, Ya, I want to tell Brandon Happy birthday yesterday. I was thinking about him all day, but was working on my finals most of the day. I love you Brandon.

Just think about it

What is the one thing that you just can't resist, no not men, but I'm meaning food wise.

I know most of you will say chocolate or ice cream or chocolate ice cream, but for me, it is chips and sour cream. I know that it sounds so disgusting, but that is my weakness.... and there is nothing it is that is remotely good for you. why does the holy heavens have to curse me with this. I have been doing so good at loosing weight, then I discover this little gem, and I am literally sucking it up. I don't understand my issue is with it, because it really doesn't taste all that well going down, but it is that aftertaste that gets me. HELP

The Pumpkin Patch

So today I go to go with travis on a field trip to a pumpkin patch in ferron. There seemed like there was 400 little kids although there were only about 40. It was so much fun. We learned a ton about pumpkins, and it was so cute to see all the little kids running through the pumpkins with only about 7 moms and teachers trying to contain them all. Afterward we went to the park and ate pumpkin cookies and bread and played on the equipment for a while. then we went back to the school and read books about pumpkins. It was nice to get out and spend some time with him. He had so much fun, but I can really see that he does not like other kids. family is a different story, but he would not talk or even recognize the fact that there were a bunch of kids there. He did get pretty mad at the fact that we did not take everyone to the pumpkin patch in our van. Apparently he thought that we were going to fit 50 people in a minivan- maybe in a regular van, but not a minivan.

fact of the day: Kevin, yes my kevin, has been called to jury duty. I feel sorry for the poor soul that faces kevin as a jurror. All I know is that it will sure take a lot of convincing to get him to not automatically say "GUILTY" especially if he is a mexican, not that Kevin is racist or anything.

Oh yeah, I am the greatest, it says so in the dictionary
