So, yes, it has been a while since I have done the bloggin thing, and I am soooo sorry. School and Christmas shopping, and all that has taken up so much of my time. Anyways, Today, travis decided that he did not want to wear a coat to school and opted to wear his dragon halloween costume. He looked so cute and Darlene, his teacher, totally went crazy over him when we walked through the door. He cracks me up.
I have spent the last three days baking goodies to take around to people for Christmas. There is something about giving to others that really puts me in the Christmas spirit. I am really looking forward to Christmas this year. It is so much fun when you have little kids. Now I can see why mom and dad were the way they were when we were young. I keep telling myself that I am not going to go overboard this year, but it is hard not to when you have the ability to, if you know what I mean.
When the kids get home, we are going to go through their toy box and take all of their remaining good toys over to the food bank. It is hard to teach kids about how maybe other kids don't have nice things and toys like they do, so I figured that this would be a good way to show them. This Christmas is going to be different for my small family without Joann, but it makes me feel good that she is in a better place, but I know that she will be greatly missed by our family. Sometimes it is hard not to get upset that she is no longer here, especially during the holiday season, but I know that we will get through it. I wanted to say thank you for all the prayers given on my family's behalf. I know that we felt them through those difficult times last month.
I am going crazy today, I feel like I cannot get anything done because I am waiting for the fed ex man to get here with my boxes. We had a little extra money left a few weeks ago, so Kevin made me go online and get me some shirts and stuff. I am so excited for them to come. There is something about getting new clothes that revives a mother; makes us feel like we are not so run-down........ That was a hint to all you guys reading this.
Happy Holidays from us to you.
